Oats are one of the healthiest whole-grains and they are highly beneficial for health. It helps in managing weight, controlling blood sugar, and also reducing heart ailment risks. Oats are gluten-free and one of the major sources of vitamins and other vital nutrients needed by a human body.
Oatmeal is often referred to as a porridge made up of oats and milk/water. It is a good option for a healthy and nutritious breakfast. Its recipe is quick, easy and simple too.
1. Oats Granola Recipe
Oats Granola Recipe is healthy American food. It is sweetened with Honey instead of Sugar making it nutritious. It is quick and easy to cook. Baked in just 30 minutes, this recipe is loved by children as well as by adults.
Ingredients:
4 cups - rolled Oats
1/2 (Half) cup - Honey
1/4th Teaspoon - Salt (Optional)
2 Tablespoons - Vegetable oil
1 tablespoon - Vanilla extract
chopped almonds and raisins
1 and half cup - mixed fruits (dried)
half cup - sunflower seeds.
1/2 (half) teaspoon - powdered cinnamon
Method of cooking:
In a large bowl put all ingredients and mix then well. Next, take a large baking dish and spread a baking sheet over it. Now pour the oats mixture over it and spread it evenly.
Preheat your oven at 325 degrees F. Once done, put the baking dish with all ingredients into the oven. And now bake it for 60 minutes, stir it after 30 minutes. Once properly baked, it will turn out to be golden brown and toasted.
Cool it completely in a normal room temperature. Slice it in a rectangular shape. And Oats granola is ready to be enjoyed. You can store it in an airtight container as well.
2. Yogurt Parfait
This is something very delicious breakfast recipe. You can also take it as a healthy snack which can help you with short hunger pangs. Although it looks beautiful when you serve it in a glass, however, you can also use a glass bowl as well. The recipe is really simple and gets ready in just 10 minutes. No big efforts are needed to prepare yogurt parfait.
Ingredients: (Serves - 1)
2 cups - plain yogurt
1 cup - roasted oats
1 sliced banana
Few chopped strawberries and kiwis
Handful choco chips
1 tablespoon - honey
Method of Cooking:
Take a glass, put one layer of yogurt, then roasted oats, sliced bananas, strawberries, and kiwis. And then give the layer of choco chips. Lastly, add honey to it. If you want you can repeat the layers. Yogurt parfait is ready to be served. Isn't so simple to make it? Try it. :)
3. Oatmeal with Dried Fruits
This recipe is simple and easy to cook topped with some of your favorite dry fruits. You can take this in your breakfast as it will be a healthy option for you. Simple oatmeal with dry fruits recipe goes like this.
Ingredients:
Half cup oats
2 cups of low-fat boiled milk
2 tablespoons of dried fruits - raisins, chopped almonds, crushed walnuts, cashews, etc.
Half teaspoon of Honey.
Method of cooking:
Warm the boiled milk in medium flame and add oats. Stir it continuously until the consistency becomes slightly thick. Switch off the gas flame. Now add honey to it and dried fruits. Mix them well and serve. Your so-simple Oatmeal with dry fruits is ready!
