Quick and Easy Breakfast Recipes for your Hungry Tummy


A healthy, quick and tasty breakfast is something that is always sought. Satisfying morning hunger is difficult when your breakfast recipe is not quick. In today's fast-paced life everyone wants some quick ideas and recipes to beat their morning hunger.

Here, in this blog, you will find some tasty and quick breakfast recipe which can satisfy your hungry tummy. Therefore, have a look.


1. The tasty Oatmeal Besan Chilla

This is a delicious and healthy recipe that takes just half an hour to complete. The ingredients are also simple and easily available. it is a quick and tasty morning breakfast recipe which is loved by our children.

This Oats Chilla can be served either plain or with coriander chutney, tomato ketchup or with schezwan sauce.

So let us now take a look on its Ingredients and at its Method of Preparation.


INGREDIENTS: (SERVES 4)

  • 1 cup quick cooking oats.

  • 1 cup gram flour (besan).

  • 1 small onion - finely chopped.

  • 1 small tomato - finely chopped.

  • 1 teaspoon coriander leaves (dhaniya patta) - finely chopped.

  • 1/2 (half) teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera).

  • 1/2 (half) inch ginger (adrak)- grated.

  • 1 green chilli (hari mirch) - finely chopped.

  • 1/2 (half) teaspoon red chilli powder (lal mirch powder)

  • 1/2 (half) teaspoon turmeric powder (haldi powder)

  • Salt - as per to the taste.

  • Oil - for smoothening the griddle (tawa)

  • Water - as per to the batter's consistency.


METHOD OF PREPARATION:

  • Take the quick cooking oats and grind them well so that it becomes a fine powder. Now add gram flour (besan), finely chopped onion and tomato. Also add cumin seeds (jeera), grated ginger, finely chopped green chilli, finely chopped coriander leaves, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt to taste.

  • Mix all these dry ingredients and then add water to make a fine and smooth batter. Please remember, the batter should not too thick or too watery. It should have smooth flow consistency without any lumps.

  • Take the griddle (tawa) and heat it on a medium flame. Once it is sufficiently hot, put some oil to smoothen its surface. Take the ladle (karchhul) full of batter and pour it on a pre-heated griddle (tawa).

  • Spread the batter with the help of ladle (karchhul) on a circular motion gently and lightly. Leave it to cook on the medium flame from its base.

  • Once oats chilla gets light brown in colour from one side, flip it to cook from its other side.

  • When the oats chilla becomes golden and light brown in colour from both of its sides, then it indicates that it is cooked.

  • Fold the oats chilla and serve hot either plain or with coriander chutney, or tomato ketchup, or even it goes well with Schezwan sauce.



2. The yummy Bread Omelette Sandwich

This recipe is one of my favourite as it is easy and quick to cook. The ingredients are also simple and easily available in the market. Most of the time this recipe becomes my Sunday breakfast.The bread omelette sandwich goes well with green chutney, tomato ketchup and with schezwan sauce as well. However, I majorly prefer to use schezwan sauce with this sandwich as it gives a proper spicy taste.


Let us understand its Ingredients and Method of preparation.


INGREDIENTS: (SERVES 2)

  • 8 slices of brown bread.

  • 3 eggs.

  • 1/2 (half) capsicum- finely chopped.

  • 1 small onion - finely chopped.

  • 1/2 (half) small tomato - finely chopped (optional).

  • 1 green chilli - finely chopped.

  • A pinch of black pepper powder.

  • 1/2 (half) teaspoon salt - as per to the taste.

  • Oil - for smoothening the griddle (tawa)

  • 2 cheese cubes - grated.

  • Schezwan sauce - to spread to brown bread.

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

  • Take the bowl and break the eggs into it and beat them until they become frothy. Add finely chopped onion, capsicum, green chilli and tomato. Remember, the tomato is an optional ingredient here. Mix these ingredients well.

  • Now add salt and black pepper powder to it. Mix them well again.

  • Take the griddle (tawa) and heat it on a medium flame. When it is sufficiently hot put some oil to it so that the surface of the griddle (tawa) gets smooth.

  • Pour these beaten eggs on the pre-heated griddle (tawa) and spread it gently and allow it to cook till the base gets firm and golden brown in colour.

  • Once you are sure that the base of these poured eggs is firm and the top side is also lightly cooked, then put some grated cheese on it.

  • Now fold this omelette and flip it . Cut from the middle with the help of spatula, so that the heat can cook the stuffed cheese as well.

  • Take this omelette out of the gas flame once it is properly cooked.

  • Take the bread slices and spread some schezwan sauce on its one side.

  • Put the omelette in between the two bread slices making sure that schezwan sauce gets inside.

  • keep these stuffed bread slices on griddle (tawa) and toast it on medium flame.

  • Once these slices of bread turn out to be in light brown colour, take them down from the gas flame.

  • Cut these sandwiches diagonally giving them the shape of a triangle.

  • Serve them hot and enjoy with a cup of tea.
